Engagement & Pet Session - Mary Maier Photography

It is wonderful to be able to introduce you to a Pet Photographer who is new to the Itty Bitty & Fluffy blog today - Mary Maier Photography! Mary captured this lovely engagement session recently for Heather & Pete and their giant fur Baby, Palmer the Great Dane! He is just magnificent, with merle markings and a very happy, playful disposition...

We hand over to Mary who tells us more about this lovely Engagement session...

"When Heather and Pete planned their engagement session, they knew they wanted their Great Dane, Palmer, to be a part of it. As a puppy, Palmer would run around and look for squirrels in the sculpture garden of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, Virginia. Although he is now fully grown at 150 pounds, he still enjoys the museum grounds by bouncing around after squirrels and finding sticks to chew on! Heather and Pete have raised Palmer from a puppy and they knew this would be the perfect location to have their engagement shoot together as a family!"

Pet Session - Lucy, Duncan the Great Danes & Missy Moo Studio

These two graceful Great Danes were captured by Julie - the pet photographer behind Missy Moo Studio. We could barely contain our excitement when we received this submission - the session is amazing! Super locations, beautiful dogs and how on earth Julie has managed to get Lucy & Duncan to pose next to each other so sweetly and so often! We hand over to Julie who tells us more about their session and also lovely Lucy & Duncan ...

"A few months ago I held a "Cutest Pet Contest" on facebook. The winner (with the most likes) was Duncan! When I spoke with the owner I found out she had 2 great danes, so I asked that she bring both. Who doesn't love siblings?"

"We call her Lucy Lu. She was a rescue. We got her when she was 10 months old. She is about 5 years old. She is the sweetest dog I have ever been around! She is AMAZING with not only my kids but all kids she is around! Kinsley (my youngest daughter 3yr old) uses her as her personal stool, pillow, and chair and Lucy just soaks it up! She is really good at tricking Duncan into getting the "good" bed! We have 2 big dog beds, one a little new and fluffier then the other, she will get up and wonder into the living room and when he gets up to follow her she will run as fast as she can back to the beds so she can get the good one! Haha sneaky little girl!"

"Oh Duncan! Haha he is our giant boy! He is so fun! He is 8 months old. He loves to be were the kids are! He will follow Kinsley on her bike in circles just to be with her! He is very protective over them and will stand watch when we are out in our drive way doing yard work or the girls are riding their bikes. He loves the hose! If its one he is biting the water no matter how hard its coming out! Kinsley is his best friend! She LOVES him and he loves her right back! For as big as he is he is so gentle with her! He knows how hard to pull the toy with out yanking her around! She has an obsession with him sitting on her lap! She thinks it the greatest thing and Duncan loves to do it! He has a blankey that I have him the 1st day we brought him home and he is still attached to it. He sleeps with it folded between his front paws and in his mouth."
